Patched versions of 1.5.7 and 1.5.6

These patched builds supersede the latest stable releases of 1.5.6 and 1.5.7.

October 29, 2022

  • The installation folder is determined at run time, so an installation tree can be moved and still work.
  • The Python interpreter in the bin folder of the installation is now called MGLPython<$PyVersion>, to avoid interfering with the system Python.
  • pythonsh and the other scripts in the bin folder set PYTHONNOUSERSITE="disabled", so that packages from the user site-packages (such as ~/.local/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages) are not imported.

  • Bug fix in the BRIX parser of the Volume package, in the calculation of grid spacing variables.
